Who We Are

We are a nonprofit organization formed to preserve artifacts, pictures, buildings, and other historically related items of South Ashtabula County, Ohio. The society was created due to a fear that the boy scout cabin in Rock Creek, Ohio would be demolished, however, that was not true. The Historical Society and the Village of Rock Creek, along with various other community partners, will be working together to preserve the cabin, achieve needed repairs, and turn the cabin into a museum and meeting room for the societies meetings.

What We Do

We collect historical items, advocate for the preservation of historical buildings, and plan fundraising events to help support projects. Some notable projects of interest right now are the boy scout cabin and the old cemetery bridge.
